Simcity Calgary: 1920-1940

Not going to lie to you. The Simcity loan system screwed up the simulation and it put the city into tremendous debt. The point of this whole series is to show you how a city with urban sprawl would look like. By the end of 1940, I had to infuse a whole bunch of cash into the city to make it work again. Great Depression really happened here. Weird. Consider it as a huge grant from the federal and provincial governments.

All you could build at this stage was either coal or coal given the amount of money I had in the bank. I'm sorry global warming.

There was a time when debates about tunnels under airports never existed.

This should be the city during 1930. I took out a $10,000 loan for a coal plant not realizing that the interest was $700 per annum and not $700 for the entire loan. I was making about $500 per year. Thanks stupid brain. Essentially here marks the city being screwed over by everything,

1935 was not a good time for me. No one was living here. Houses abandoned. Time to cheat.

So here is where a magical $500,000 just appeared and I could rebuild calgarycity again. Let me remind readers that my point was to try and show what the city would like based on how our growth is currently based on a Simcity model. I am not attempting to build a city from scratch. (1940).
